Time to head back (so that I don’t miss too many lectures).
Comparing the different options, I thought a Lyft ride was the best way to get to the airport from downtown (Yes, I’ve got the free ride credits for new users). And thank God, the traffic was smooth all the way to the airport.

On the way to the airport, my Lyft driver told me something intriguing, that the LAX airport authorities somehow mandated every Lyft and Uber driver to pass a test and get a special license to enter the airport perimeter. He called this “ridiculous regulation” because that test basically has to do with how to care for the handicapped and how to wait for the old, which isn’t taught through exams.
Perhaps, the LAX airport introduced this regulation so as to address its traffic jam issue, as the only traffic jam I experienced in this trip was within airport drop-off area, where cars (not just Uber and Lyft drivers) were changing lanes cutting in front of each other. Of course, this new regulation won’t help.
Boarding Passes
When I was booking this trip, Delta allowed me to choose any of the available flights from Los Angeles to Seattle on that morning. So of course, I picked the one that departed latest, which is DL129 as Delta extends the code from Seattle to Los Angeles on its flight to Beijing.

Depending how you think, the Delta terminal of LAX could be described as either “lively” or “overcrowded”. The good thing is that, this time my flight wasn’t delayed (otherwise I need to seriously worry about my connection).

It seemed that the visibility over California wasn’t as good as I expected (guess this was the most polluted part of America), so again I adjusted the contrast of most photos that followed.
